Tips and Tricks
POURING YOUR MIX
If using the recommended fast setting cement patcher. We have found it better to mix it fairly wet. This let air escape and fills small areas much better. If your having trouble with small parts breaking. Then try using wire in the mold. This greatly strengthens those parts. If its their feet you can add the wire last after pouring the mix and make sure you give plenty of dry time .A paper clip works very well for this and they come in small and larger size.
REMOVING THE RUBBER MOLD
Some molds come off better than others. If your having trouble pulling off the rubber because of friction between the mold its self try wetting it first with water. Then removing it.The water will provide some lubrication. I have found that pushing the part out of the mold works better and helps to eliminate breakage. Also try not to hold the small part to tightly when removing the rubber mold
PAINTING
We recommend a latex base paint. Start by painting the body of the piece with the darkest colors first. Then fill in other areas with the next lighter color until you get to the lightest. For the best look after paint has dried coat with a clear finish via spray can.
